Watermelon Margarita
Ingredients:
- 2 oz tequila blanco
- 2 oz fresh watermelon juice
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz triple sec
- 0.25 oz agave syrup (optional)
- Tajín for the rim
- Lime wedge for rimming the glass
- Watermelon wedge or lime wheel for garnish
Instructions
Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass.
Dip the rim into Tajín until evenly coated.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add the tequila, watermelon juice, lime juice, triple sec, and agave syrup.
Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice.
Strain the margarita into the glass.
Garnish with a watermelon wedge or lime wheel.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Fresh watermelon juice works best. Blend seedless watermelon and strain if desired.
If your watermelon is very sweet, skip the agave syrup.
For a frozen version, blend all ingredients with 1 cup of ice.
For extra heat, add a small jalapeño slice to the shaker before mixing.
