Watermelon Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz tequila blanco
  • 2 oz fresh watermelon juice
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz triple sec
  • 0.25 oz agave syrup (optional)
  • Tajín for the rim
  • Lime wedge for rimming the glass
  • Watermelon wedge or lime wheel for garnish

Instructions

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass.

  2. Dip the rim into Tajín until evenly coated.

  3. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

  4. Add the tequila, watermelon juice, lime juice, triple sec, and agave syrup.

  5. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.

  6. Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice.

  7. Strain the margarita into the glass.

  8. Garnish with a watermelon wedge or lime wheel.

  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Fresh watermelon juice works best. Blend seedless watermelon and strain if desired.

  • If your watermelon is very sweet, skip the agave syrup.

  • For a frozen version, blend all ingredients with 1 cup of ice.

  • For extra heat, add a small jalapeño slice to the shaker before mixing.
